Grassland species
The grassland varies in character and condition, although having been cut fairly recently it’s hard to be certain of its overall composition.  In places, it consists of finer grass species and reflects free-draining soil conditions, although it is not apparently particularly diverse. In other places it is dominated by coarser species, perhaps reflecting periods where management effort was lower or there has been some disturbance.
